September at Clocks that Rock

My oh my! How time just races by, it seems like only yesterday that I was blogging away but it is now a few of weeks since I was here.

Although it may be a few of weeks since I have been here I havn’t been idle , that I can assure you. I have been making clocks, experimenting with new ideas, one of which I touched on briefly last time I was here. That was namely the 12” vinyl clocks. I was rummaging through some old albums at a second hand shop and picked up some albums that I thought might make great clocks and again something else to experiment with, needless to say I can now say that these were a success although I feel one (The Osmonds) will need a little more thought for me to be completely happy with it.So maybe a little more creative work on that one.

Other clocks that I have been working on include a lovely melamine plate clock with a cat sitting on a roof. That one will be on the website soon. I have also made a blue version of the pink balloon clock. (again on the website soon).

Another exciting development is the display of clocks that I now have in The Mill arts centre right here in the heart of Banbury. I managed to secure a display cabinet in the main foyer and have filled it with clocks, including a couple of new designs namely the retro hotdog sign, the Wham! Album cover plus another couple of musical items in the Ac/Dc and Jam clocks. All in all I am pleased with the outcome, it looks good.

The display will be at The Mill arts centre right here in the town centre of Banbury, just across the canal from Castle Quay shopping centre. It will be running from 2nd September right through until October

Watch out on the Clocks that Rock Folksy shop too as I will be putting more stock on there soon.
